Hello!
How are you?
Attendance at Masses this past weekend was down a bit
4:00-62 6:15–29 8:15–83 11:00-75
No one went to the overflow at either Sunday morning Mass.
It was noticeable that more people were wearing a mask, I would guess close to 90%.
Could the lower attendance and the increased mask wearing be due to the Governor's recent order and the cluster of new cases in Clinton County traced to the Fair?
Remember that starting August 2 there will be overflow available in the parish center only at the 8:15 Mass.
Listen to a remarkable YouTube video of The King's Return (a quartet) singing the Ola Gjeilo (pronounced yay - lo) setting of the very old Latin chant, "Ubi Caritas".
King's Return describe themselves on their Facebook page as "A vocal band of brothers, formed in 2016 from pre-existing friendships. Our sound is rooted in Gospel, Jazz, R & B and classical music. Our name reminds us to be our brother's keeper and to pay homage to our King, Jesus, who has Himself promised to return."
Ubi caritas are the first two words. The first few lines are worthy of meditation.
"Where charity and love are, God is there.
Love of Christ has gathered us into one.
Let us rejoice in Him and be glad.
Let us fear, and let us love the living God,
and from a sincere heart let us love one another."
Worthy of meditating and living each day.
